up, up and away.

oh there's a very pleasant side to you,
a side i much prefer
it's one that laughs and jokes around
remember cuddles in the kitchen yeah,
to get things off the ground
and it was up, up and away

...

do you know that i have not caught tokyo drift yet? except for the painfully addictive soundtrack ting ting ting.. too fast too furiyoooooo.., that's really about all i'm familiar with as of for this moment i am so ashamed of myself. fuckin keep up with the movies will you. or them jb dvds atleast.

and the other day wait, two days ago, i finally got to catch the movie 'gubra' after contemplating on whether i should get the dvd after its release in msia. the thought was on pending for months and i almost have forgotten about this beautiful sequel to the movie 'sepet'. and sepet means 'small eyes', yeah like how most chinese people have or okay some chinese peeps have big eyes too whatever. the reason why i love sepet (the movie) is because it sets itself apart from other malay movies i know which typically revolves around romance and breakups.. si hero ngn si heroine.. and jiwang songs and what nots. they deal with real issues, the real malays. very traditional, cultured and conservative we are, we do talk about sex and flirting with the sacrilages of life like infidelity and adultery do occur in our community. these movies bring out the many cultural differences and how reality has it that everyone share the same pain, the same love, and race and social status will never be able to defy the existence of hope and possibilities.

but the language is damn hilarious.

"eee, dalah tetek berbulu."

anep and i couldn't help laughing our ass off on the bed when we heard that.

like wtf is wrong with the scriptwriter?
